@jackjenkins.me: … just gonna point out she is saying this just 50 yards or so from Lafayette Square, which sits immediately outside the White House and includes a giant statue of General Marquis de Lafayette, a hero of the Revolution and a visible reminder of the key role France played in securing US independence.
