Guardian cartoon: World War 3!? Whose idea was that?

ORANGE: World War 3!? Is that good? Whose idea was that? Israel bombed Iran first and now the USA is bombing Iranian nuclear sites, the world is up in arms and maybe even ending! What is going on!? I’m frightened!
BEIGE: It’s all for a good cause. You should know that Israel was forced to bomb Iran in preemptive self-defence in order to achieve peace through strength.
ORANGE: Israel bombed Iran first?! What terrible thing did Iran do to provoke this?
BEIGE: Iran IS terrible! Remember the axis of evil? Iranians struggle under the yoke of oppression and the country is jam packed with terrorists.
ORANGE: Terrorists! How awful – but what did Iran actually do.
BEIGE: Well… it’s complicated.
ORANGE: Ok so up to November last year did Iran drop 85,000 tons of bombs on a captive population which is more than all of the bombs dropped in World War 2 on London Dresden and Hamburg combined?
BEIGE: Err… not that I recall.
ORANGE: Did the Iranian army evacuate a hospital at gun point forcing staff to abandon 4 babies in the ICU and those babies died slow deaths and their decomposing corpses were found weeks later?
BEIGE: Ah no that wasn’t Iran at least I don’t think it was.
ORANGE: Have the Iranians been starving a captive population to death and literally executing 100s of people who line up for the tiny amount of aid the army is letting in?
BEIGE: Erm… no.
ORANGE: Have they killed or injured more than 50,000 children, many of whom had to have limbs amputated without anaesthesia?
BEIGE: I am not sure that is the point.
ORANGE: Does Iran have somewhere between 90 and 400 nuclear missiles?
BEIGE: Aha! Yes! Wait… ok no. None right now. But ever since 2002 Iran has been mere weeks away from building their own nuclear weapon so who knows what might happen next weekend.
ORANGE: Gasp! Those monsters! Somebody should do something.
