Kids are not responsible for:

• Caring for siblings
• Being emotional supports for adults
• Finding money to pay bills
• Creating rules, structure, and order because the adults can’t or won’t
• Taking care of their parents emotionally
• Managing fights between parents
• Protecting themselves from adults
• Figuring things out on their own
